Final Cut Studio 2 released!

Oh baby! This is big news. Final Cut Studio 2 for Apple computers has been released. This software is going to be sick. I have been working with FCS 1 for awhile now and the upgrades to the software are absolutely phenominal. I am going to pick up this software as soon as I can afford the student price of $850. For non students its $1299. The price is peanuts for what you are getting.

Final Cut Pro 6, DVD Studio Pro 4, Compressor 3, Soundtrack Pro 2, Motion 3, and the all new Color. If you work with video or film, this is the software you should be using. Of course you need to be working on a Mac but it may be worth the switch just for this software.

I stand by this software 100% and if you haven’t demoed or seen this software in action, make an effort to do so. I have been cutting on this stuff for almost 5 years now.

Check out the Apple website for more info.

That rocks, Rick! So does the first BBR episode by the way. ;)

Nice going! I can see from the quality of yoru video that FCS is all that you crack it up to be…

I am a fan of premiere actually..

Pbanker you should change you name to Pwanker.

Premiere has come a long way but seriously, it’s no FCP or Avid.

After Effects I like though

Zdnet saw the fcp2 showcase on a fast macpro, this is what zdnet stated: “We hope that testing Final Cut on more normal machines will work as smoothly and with fewer crashes than in the past.”

Lets hope then that it got better, because I rather be a wanker working with Premiere which has not crashed once the past 2 years on my pc.
Fcp is indeed no premiere, though it has much potential
