UPDATE: One commentor mentioned that I should do an update regarding the contest. Well so far I have recieved 8 reviews and 11 incoming links. A little less than I had hoped for and traffic had probably increased about %25 since the contest began. I don’t know if that can be consider successful. I really think there is an issue with this blog being to wide open. Anyways there is still about 10 days left. There are a lot of entries. I would say that some people have about a 10-15% chance to win thanks to all their hard work, but you never know, one comment is all it takes!

I’m not even kidding. It cost me just over $300, and for that much I could of ordered some ReviewMe ads on various blogs or gotten some adwords, but I think this contest will be big. I love the Wii as you have seen on my video podcast and I think you will love it as much as I do. Okay here is how the contest is going to work. On June 5th I will complete the draw which will be completely random, but I am adding a twist.

You will get one entry to the draw for every point, the more points you have the better chance there is you will get chosen. Here is how you get points.

1 point - Leave a comment on this post or any other post that has been written after May 5th. Use an email address that I can reach you at if you win.

5 points - send me a backlink from your blog, make sure to email me and let me know about the link so I can verify it and get you your points.

20 points - Review my blog on your site, 150 words or more, and email me with the link to the review.

For an additional 3 points, you can mention this contest in your review of this blog.

Now not only am I giving away a brand new Nintendo Wii, but I will also send you some link love. I will list all of the back-linkers and reviews here in order of completion.

BTW Rick - I think the traffic will start to increase more gradually now the contest has started. You’ve got a bunch of backlinks from all over the place and it will certainly help your organic traffic, from search engines. I imagine your PageRank will be alot nicer on the next update, with which, you can implement advertising.

Having got some money from text-links, sponsored reviews, etc, you can begin driving traffic to the site using ReviewMe and other services. Gradually, the traffic will build up and you won’t have to buy traffic any more.
