The Rasterbator

This is a sweet website that I found a couple months ago. We don’t all have the desire or taste to purchase high-end artwork, but if you have a favorite image that you want blown up then this is a cool alternative.

The Rasterbator can create huge rasterized images from any picture or image that you can find on the net or photograph yourself. Simple upload the image to the Rasterbator website and let the software do the work. You select how large you want the picture to turn out and on how many sheets of paper. Other details include color, dot size, and detail level.

It is up to you how much time you take to put together your raster but with a little effort, from a distance these pictures may seem to be in one piece. I suggest you cut the borders and line up the photos perfectly to get the full effect. Either that of lay it down on a black matte such as the photo below.

That is impressive! Though I’m sticking with Wallhogs.com for high-res prints. :)

I will check it out.
